Virtually all mobile phones are manufactured from techniques designed for mass production. The most common being injected molded plastic. Even when metals are used on mobile phones, they are almost always stamped, cast, or forged. These techniques are designed to be fast and cheap which results in a mobile phone that looks and feels that way. From day one it has always been Mobiado’s goal to make a phone that is unique and to use manufacturing techniques, specifically CNC machining to build a superior, quality product. This is the same technology used for producing precision parts for the aerospace and car racing industries; for unbelievable accuracy and allowing for precision of up to 0.001mm.
Mobiado has created a special process to control the natural distortions of hardwood and to ensure the greatest precision tolerances during machining. Each piece of wood is cut by hand into small blocks and inspected for defects, knots, and unusual grain structure. The blocks that pass this initial inspection are then placed in a special convection oven where they are dried for 24 hours, removed and CNC machined to approximate size, and then the drying process is repeated for another 48 hours. The block is now ready to be CNC machined to final precision specifications. All bocks are kept organized in sets so that each wooden part of the phone will match in grain size, color, and structure.
Mobiado had a vision to cover the entire front and back surfaces of its phone with sapphire crystal, giving birth to the 105 series. To do this, Mobiado had to create the largest production sapphire parts ever used on a consumer product, requiring more than 52 hours of grinding and polishing work to produce the sapphire crystal for each Mobiado phone. A monumental 274 carats of sapphire crystal are required for the 105GMT series. Each piece of sapphire is then individually painted by hand in a clean room environment. A special layered painted process was developed to allow light through the lettering and numbers. The result is a perfectly crafted phone with a surface hardness second only to diamond.
The Discovery gold watch movement incorporates a unique dual mechanical watch movement, allowing for the setting of two international time zones and using the electronic phone time for the local time, thus making it possible to view 3 times zones simultaneously. Each Swiss mechanical watch movement contains 25 jeweled bearings, performs 28,800 vibrations per hour, has 28 hours of power reserve, and is a self-winding automatic mechanism with ball-bearing. The movements are attached with a Mobiado exclusive 3D shock absorbing system (patent pending), allowing the precision and delicate watch components to be used in the demanding everyday handling of a mobile phone. Pioneer 10 was the first spacecraft to travel through the asteroid belt, first to make direct observations of Jupiter, and the first human-built object to leave the solar system. Pioneer 10 was launched by NASA from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 36A and is currently heading in the direction of Aldebaran, located in Taurus. The date and time of launch (March 3, 1972 at 01:49:00 UTC) is machine engraved into the left side of each Grand 350 Pioneer phone, and its limited edition number is engraved into the right side. One phone for every year, representing the odyssey from launch in 1972 to present day; 37 limited edition masterpieces in total.
In case Pioneer 10 was intercepted by extraterrestrial beings, the spacecraft was attached with the famous pictorial message known as the Pioneer Plaque. The plaques show the figures of a human male and female, in front of the silhouette of the Pioneer 10 spacecraft, along with several symbols that are designed to provide information about the origin of the spacecraft. The bottom of the plaque displays our solar system and the trajectory of the Pioneer 10 spacecraft. The left center of the plaque shows the relative position of the Sun to the center of the Galaxy and 14 pulsars. And, the left top of the plaque displays the most common element in the universe – hydrogen. The plaque was designed by Dr. Carl Sagan and Dr. Frank Drake and drawn by Linda Salzman Sagan. A

The centerpiece of the 350 Pioneer is its unique work of art; the Gibeon meteorite battery cover. Supplied by the cosmos, this four billion-year old meteorite plummeted through the atmosphere during prehistoric times to land in Namibia. Discovered in 1836, scientists traced its origins to the asteroid belt between the planets of Mars and Jupiter. The remarkable texture of this piece of the universe is due to its composition of elements, 90% iron, with 8%nickel, and small traces of cobalt and phosphorus. Gibeon meteorite was formed in the cores of asteroids at temperatures over 2,500EF where they were originally completely molten. Very gradually, at a rate of perhaps 18-180EF per million years, the liquid metal cooled and began to crystallize. The two meteorite alloys, Taenite and Kamacite, formed slightly different crystal structures which grew into and over each other. The resulting intricate designs created by this intergrowth are called “Widmanstatten Figures". To prepare the meteorite into a finished plate, an artisan first saws the material, then grinds, polishes, and bathes the final surface with an acid treatment to reveal a classic example of fine octahedrite and the Widmanstatten pattern that is aesthetically treasured by both collectors and designers.

The PRO105EM is the evolution in the hardwood Executive Model series, combining hardwood, aluminum, sapphire crystal, and 24-karet gold to truly create the ultimate in luxury. The Mobiado PRO105EM is available in two versions; Cocobolo and Ebony.
Cocobolo and Ebony hardwoods exemplify everything you would expect from new levels in luxury design. Every PRO105EM is as different and unique as every rare exotic tree is. No two phones are alike. Combining age-old techniques used with Swiss mechanical watches and the modern simplicity of large pieces of sapphire crystal; the PRO105GCB is a stunning masterpiece with classic details.
The frame is precision CNC machined from solid brass and is then finished with a 5 micron thick 24-karet gold plating. The screws are gold plated brass. The buttons of the PRO105GCB are sapphire crystal, hand painted with 24-caret gold, to produce a front surface made entirely of sapphire crystal. The PRO105GCB is modern marvel with a classic flare. A new tradition has begun.
All the lettering and symbols on the PRO105EM and PRO105GCB are hand painted with 24-karet gold. Using a unique painting process, the gold keypad visibly disappears and becomes illuminated when the keypad lights up, creating a dramatic effect when used in low light conditions.
Using the construction of the Professional 105 ZAF lineup, the entire front and back of the PRO105EM and PRO105GCB have been crafted from large pieces of sapphire crystal, providing a modern minimalist look with a wear resistance second only to diamond. The PRO105EM and the PRO105GCB utilize a unique and hidden sliding battery cover mechanism (patent pending) with the battery cover being made entirely from one piece of sapphire crystal.
