The Tag Heuer Meridiist is a beautifully engineered but hugely expensive luxury handset, the result of a collaboration between the famous chronograph manufacturer and ModeLabs, a French design house who have been behind a number of interesting bespoke designs in recent years. The Meridiist stayed true to Tag Heuer strong connections to sports by providing a subtle blend of function, performance, ergonomics, design, and execution.
As with the Bellperre and Motorola Aura, the Meridiist is more about engineering and craftmanship than technical gadgetry.
Inspired by the power and grace of the mythic Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640, Tag Heuer, the world leader in luxury sports watches and chronographs, has teamed up with the famous Italian super sports car manufacturer to create the limited-edition Tag Heuer Meriidist Automobili Lamborghini communication instrument. The Tag Heuer Meridiist Lamborghini Edition phone is based on the original Meridiist and features a redesigned back inspired by the angular design of Lamborghini’s cars and featuring the Lamborghini designation displayed on their engines. The front features the Lamborghini crest whilst the case is coated in black titanium carbide making it resistant to scratches. Only one thousand nine hundred and sixty three phones will be made corresponding the the year 1963 when Lamborghini was founded and the phones will be available from Tag Heuer stores and Lamborghini dealerships.
